Ingredients

  • 250 gm chick peas (boiled)
  • 1 cup potatoes (cubed and boiled)
  • 4 green chilies (finely chopped)
  • ½ cup onion (finely chopped)
  • 2 tbsps. lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tbsp. cumin (roasted and crushed)
  • 1 tsp red chili powder
  • 1 tsp red chili flakes
  • 1 tsp chaat masala
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tomato (finely sliced)
  • 2 tbsps. green coriander
  • ½ cup tamarind sauce
  • 1 cup pappri (crushed)

Lahori Chana Chaat Cooking Method

  1. In a bowl, layer the chick peas, potatoes, tomatoes, green chilies and onions
  2. Give this a good toss
  3. Add the lemon juice, red chili powder, red chili flakes, sugar, cumin chaat masala and salt
  4. Mix this well
  5. Shift into a serving bowl and pour the tamarind sauce, coriander and pappri

Serves: 3 Cook Time: 30 Minutes Prep Time: 10 Minutes
