Chicken karahi Gosht

Ingredients

  • ½ kg chicken
  • ½ cup yogurt
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • Karahi gosht masala as required
  • 250 gm chopped tomatoes
  • 1 chopped Onion
  • 5 green chilies
  • 2 inch piece of ginger
  • Coriander as required

Karahi Gosht Step-by-Step

  1. In a wok heat some oil and sauté the onions
  2. Add the chicken, ginger, garlic, salt and karahi masala and fry it well while adding small amounts of water
  3. Let the chicken cook
  4. When the chicken is half done, add the tomatoes and let it cook
  5. When the tomatoes are tender add the yogurt and mix well
  6. Garnish with green chilies, ginger and coriander and serve.

Preparation Time: 15 min

Cook time: 40 min

Chicken Karahi

Ingredients

  • 1 kg Chicken
  • 1 tbsp. ginger, crushed
  • 1 tbsp. Garlic, crushed
  • ½ tsp black pepper, crushed
  • 1 tsp cumin, crushed
  • 1 tsp dry coriander, crushed
  • 4-5 green cardamom
  • 8-10 green chilies
  • 5-6 whole red chilies, crushed
  • 6 medium size chopped Tomatoes
  • ½ bunch green coriander
  • 4-5 tbsp. Clarified Butter
  • 4-5 tbsp. Oil

Chicken Karahi Cooking Method

  1. In a blender put the ginger paste, garlic paste, green chilies and ¼ bunch of the green coriander and blend into a fine paste.
  2. In a wok heat the oil and clarified butter.
  3. Put the chicken in Karahi or wok and close the lid.
  4. When the chicken starts to turn white, add the green paste and let it simmer.
  5. Mix in the tomatoes, whole red chilies, cumin, black pepper, coriander seeds and cardamom and let it cook.
  6. When the chicken is tender and fully cooked, dish out the karahi and garnish Chicken Karahi with coriander, ginger and crushed spice mixture.

Chicken Karahi

Ingredients:

  • 500 gm (small pieces)Chicken
  • 3 grind Tomatoes roughly
  • 2 tbsp finely sliced Ginger
  • 2 tbsp Garlic and ginger paste
  • 4-5 Green chilies
  • 1 bunch Fresh green coriander
  • 1 tsp Crushed dry coriander
  • 1 tsp Crushed cumin seeds
  • 1 tbsp Crushed red chili
  • ½ tsp Turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • ¼ cup Oil

Chicken Karahi: Cooking Directions:

  1. Take a wok, pour some oil in it, add the garlic and ginger paste and cook for few seconds.
  2. Add 1 tbsp crushed dry coriander and 1 tsp crushed cumin seeds, mix well with the help of a ladle.
  3. Now further add chicken and cook for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Add fresh coriander and green chilies with one slit down and mix well.
  5. Now add grind tomatoes, salt, crushed red chili and turmeric.
  6. After adding all ingredients cover the pot with a lid and leave that till chicken is done in the water comes out of the tomatoes (tomato’s water).
  7. Remove from the stove when water is dried.
  8. Dish out this wonderful food and garnish with fresh coriander’s leaves, green chilies and sliced ginger.

Delicious “Chicken Karahi” is now prepared to serve. You can enjoy the superb flavour of lip-smacking chicken Karahi with Nan or Roti, Raita, Salad and chilled cold drinks. It would be cooked in very short time with all ingredients which are almost available at home.
