Chicken Manchurian Recipe By Sharmeen Syed

Ingredients

  • 250 gm boneless chicken, cubed
  • 2 green onion
  • 3 green chilies, deseeded
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • black pepper according to taste
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tbsp rice vinegar
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 6 tbsp cornflour
  • oil for frying

For Sauce

  • 2 cups chicken stock
  • 5 tbsp tomato ketchup
  • 3 tbsp red chili sauce
  • 1 tbsp cornflour mixed in little water
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1/2 tsp vinegar
  • 1 inch piece of ginger, chopped
  • 3 garlic cloves, chopped
  • 1/4 tsp sugar
  • black pepper per taste
  • salt per taste

Chicken Manchurian Directions

  1. Place chicken in a large bowl. Add vinegar, soy sauce, salt and pepper, mix them well.
  2. Marinate this chicken mixture in the refrigerator for at least 30  minutes.
  3. Heat oil in a deep pan over medium heat.
  4. Now add cornflour and beaten egg to the marinated chicken.
  5. Toss to coat evenly.
  6. Now fry chicken pieces in the hot oil till crispy and golden.
  7. Remove from the oil and absorbent on kitchen paper.
  8. Now heat 1 tsp oil in a deep wok.
  9. Add Ginger garlic paste.
  10. Cook and saute for 2 minutes then add green chilies.
  11. Cook for 1 minute.
  12. Now add chicken stock.
  13. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes.
  14. Now add chili garlic sauce, soy sauce, tomato ketchup and vinegar.
  15. Cook adn stir for 2-3 minutes.
  16. Dissolve cornflour in water.
  17. Add cornflour mixture and stirring constantly till sauce is thickened.
  18. Put the chicken pieces and cook 2 for minutes until heated thorough.
  19. Garnish with green onion.
  20. Chicken Manchurian is ready now.
  21. Serve hot with fried rice.

Chicken Manchurian

Ingredients:

  • 1 kg Boneless Chicken, cubed
  • 1 tbsp Garlic Paste
  • 4-6 Whole Red Chillies, crushed
  • 1 tsp White Pepper Powder
  • 2-3 tbsp Vinegar
  • 4 tbsp Soya Sauce
  • 2 tbsp Chilli Sauce
  • 1 tsp Sugar
  • Salt to taste
  • 1 tsp Chinese Salt
  • ½ cup Tomato Paste
  • 2 tbsp Tomato Ketchup
  • 2 cup chicken Stock
  • 4-6 tbsp Cooking Oil
  • 2 tbsp Corn Flour, mixed with 5 tbsp stock
  • 2 tbsp Carrot, cut into julienne
  • 2 tbsp Capsicum, cut into julienne

For Marination:

  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tbsp Vinegar
  • 2 tbsp Soya Sauce
  • 1/2 tsp Sugar

For Garnish:

  • 2 tbsp Spring Onion, chopped

Chicken Manchurian: Cooking Directions

  1. Take chicken pieces and put all ingredients on it and spread / mix well with the help of your hand.
  2. Keep aside for half an hour.
  3. In a pot, heat cooking oil on high flame.
  4. Cook garlic paste in it for few seconds till to the garlic paste not to change its colour and add chicken.
  5. Fry the chicken on high flame till color changes and remove it from the pot.
  6. In the same pot, heat a little oil.
  7. Add in tomato paste, ketchup, chili sauce, vinegar, soya sauce, salt, Chinese salt, sugar, crushed chilies and white pepper.
  8. When this mixture starts to boil, add in stock.
  9. Bring it to a simmer and add in chicken, capsicum and carrot.
  10. Then add in corn flour paste while mixing.
  11. Cook it till gravy thickens, turn off the heat and add in spring onions.
  12. Heat a sizzler plate on medium heat for 10 minutes.
  13. Pour the Manchurian over it.

Tasty Chicken Manchurian is ready. You can serve it with boiled rice or fried rice. This is very healthy & yummy food. Now, there is no need to rush to restaurant to enjoy this special dish. You can prepare it at home.

Chicken Manchurian

Ingredients

  • 1 Chicken breast and cut breast in strips form
  • 4 cloves of Garlic, chopped
  • 3 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 slices of Fresh Pineapple
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Chili garlic sauce
  • 4 tablespoons Red Tomato ketchup
  • 1 fresh Lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon Red chili, crushed
  • 1/2 tablespoons Black pepper powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 2 tablespoons Corn flour
  • Water (for mixing corn flour until it form a paste)

Chicken Manchurian: Step by Step

  1. In a wok, heat oil and fry garlic for a second.
  2. Now add chicken and pineapple sauce in the pan and saute it.
  3. Cook chicken until it’s color will change now add in Worcestershire sauce and reduce heat from medium to low.
  4. Then Add chili garlic sauce, red tomato ketchup, lemon juice, black pepper, salt, red chili (crushed) and mix it well.
  5. Simmer for 3-5 minutes and increase the flame.
  6. Now immediately add corn flour and keep stirring until done.
  7. Chicken Manchurian is ready to serve, hot with white rice.
